Gastrointestinal Procedures

A gastroscopy is a medical procedure that allows a doctor to examine the upper digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, using a flexible tube with a camera called a gastroscope. It is used to diagnose and sometimes treat conditions like ulcers, polyps, inflammation, or internal bleeding, often triggered by symptoms such as chronic heartburn, persistent nausea, or difficulty swallowing.

A colonoscopy is a medical procedure to examine the inside of the large intestine and rectum using a flexible tube with a camera, called a colonoscope. It is used to check for abnormalities like inflamed tissues, ulcers, or polyps, and can be used for both screening and diagnosis, including detecting colorectal cancer. During the procedure, a doctor can take tissue samples or remove polyps as needed

ERCP, or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, is a procedure that uses an endoscope and X-rays to diagnose and treat problems in the bile and pancreatic ducts. During the procedure, a long, flexible tube is guided through the mouth, esophagus, stomach, and small intestine to inject a dye into these ducts, allowing doctors to identify and sometimes remove blockages, stones, or tumors.

EUS

EUS, or Endoscopic Ultrasound, is a medical procedure that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to create detailed images of the digestive tract and surrounding organs. It is used to diagnose and evaluate conditions like cancer, pancreatitis, and bile duct stones, and can be used for therapeutic actions, such as draining cysts or performing biopsies. A thin tube with an ultrasound probe is inserted into the body, and it uses sound waves to generate images.

Enteroscopy is an endoscopic procedure to examine the small intestine, which is difficult to access with standard upper endoscopy or colonoscopy. It uses a long, flexible tube with a camera to diagnose and treat conditions like bleeding, tumors, and blockages. The procedure can be performed through the mouth (upper or antegrade) or anus (lower or retrograde) and is used when routine tests haven't found the cause of symptoms like abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, or diarrhea.

EMR (Endoscopic Mucosal Resection) and ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection) are two minimally invasive endoscopic procedures used to remove abnormal growths, such as polyps and early-stage cancers, from the lining of the gastrointestinal tract. EMR is generally for smaller lesions and can be performed in pieces, while ESD is a more advanced technique used for larger, more complex lesions, with a higher risk of complications but a lower recurrence rate due to its ability to remove the lesion in one piece.

A sigmoidoscopy is a medical procedure to examine the lower part of the large intestine (the rectum and sigmoid colon) using a flexible tube with a camera, called a sigmoidoscope. It is used to screen for and diagnose conditions like polyps, cancer, and inflammation. During the 10-20 minute procedure, a doctor can also remove polyps or take tissue samples for a biopsy.

A FibroScan is a non-invasive, painless ultrasound-based test used to assess liver health by measuring liver stiffness and fat content. It helps diagnose and monitor liver conditions like fatty liver disease, Hepatitis B or C, and alcohol-related liver damage by providing a score for fibrosis (scarring). The scan is quick, typically lasting 5-10 minutes, and requires no radiation.

Good morning Dr Chandrakant ji !
I am left with no words to express my gratitude to you for the extraordinary & timely medical assistance and procedure performed on me. Despite my various efforts to seek your permission to remit your online fees, you in your characteristic style have shrugged off saying that you have only given some online advice and vehemently opposed charging a fee for that.
